The Heitman House is a waterfront wedding venue in Fort Myers, Florida, located on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River. Initially built in 1908 as an engagement gift, the grand house is a symbol of love’s new beginnings, enticing couples to make their vows here. Boasting beautiful views from a wraparound porch, this historic building exudes charm and romance, creating the ideal backdrop for joyful celebrations of all kinds. Facilities and Capacity
Renowned for its personalized services and delicious catering, The Heitman House welcomes wedding parties to host the wedding of their dreams on-site. The venue caters to intimate or larger weddings. Host the ceremony surrounded by lush greenery and views of the river. Moving onto the cocktail hour, newlyweds can explore the venue’s many idyllic locations for photos. While the house makes a wonderful backdrop to the day’s events, couples will surely not miss the opportunity to walk along the 200-foot pier. This walkway invites guests to mingle and enjoy the calming ambience produced by the hush of gentle waves. For the reception, newlyweds are welcome to customize the grounds with an open-air dance floor and reception area. Please note that ceremony and reception are both held outdoors.
Services Offered
The Heitman House offers all-inclusive wedding packages, beginning with a venue walkthrough and comprehensive in-house event coordination. The venue can provide tables, chairs, and linens, along with complete setup and teardown services. Catering and bar packages are managed by the in-house kitchen, allowing couples to choose between buffets, or plated dining styles for the reception (depending on guest counts).
Brides may also get ready for their once-in-a-lifetime event in the large second floor bridal suite. The carriage home is also available for getting ready purposes.

Let me start with this... I found this venue on Pinterest 6 years ago & I knew me and my then boyfriend would get married here. Sure enough when we got engaged in 2020, this is the first and only venue we toured. The owner, Jeremy is amazing and so so helpful and makes sense Because his two right hand Wo(men) are kick ass as well!!! We love Cece & Lexi... they dealt with me for 22 months!!! And never once made
Me feel like my questions/ concerns/ craziness was unwanted. They all made the whole experience... 688 days of it ... MAGIC. NOW the DAY OF THE WEDDING was like a dream... absolutely perfect .. from my point of view not a single thing went wrong!!! Lexi made sure I had the best day... no stress and was always dancing and enjoying myself.
Allllll my guests loved not only the venue, but the employees as well... on their way out at the end of the line you would think they all knew Lexi her whole life. She truly was one with the family!
I truly wish some nights never ended!
Jeremy, Cece, Lexi you haven’t seen the last of me... Hey who knows... maybe a baby shower will be held there in the figure ;) -

The amount of effort that went into our wedding is unprecedented. A misfortunate and devastating hurricane tore Fort Myers apart just 18 days before our destination wedding. It wasn't even supposed to happen at this venue, it was supposed to happen across the street. That venue, unfortunately was pretty beat up after the storm. They assured us it would be everything we wanted and the show could go on but instead at the Alderman House, though it didn't make it unscathed either. Unbelievable! We are so grateful for the effort that went into our wedding. The venue was amazing. Shout out to Jessica, she was the best wedding coordinator! She had no preparation and neither did we. She made sure everything went smooth and the day was incredible.
This venue exceeded our expectations, the food was awesome the DJ knew how to work the people on the dance floor.
