The Legare Waring House is a breathtaking venue and will leave your guests in awe well after the wedding day! A historic home located in the heart of beautiful Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site, it is surrounded by giant oaks draped in Spanish moss, vibrant greenery, and years of history.
The Legare Waring House is an outdoor venue which fits max of 200 guests. Though the main event takes place outdoors, weddings also have access to the house throughout the event. If the view isn’t relaxing enough, the second floor of the house boasts 4 elegant suites which can be used to get ready on the day of the wedding, and a separate wing, on the opposite end of the house, which exudes a more cool and casual comfort for your partner.
Our weddings here last 5 hours, starting after the park closes to the public and must end by 11pm, with guests exiting the park at this time. Though all receptions occur on the tent-able, fountain patio of the house, the venue affords three ceremony location options and the flexibility of vendor choice, with the necessary license and insurance. Since everything at this venue must be brought in from outside vendors (such as catering, tables/chairs, décor, bartending, etc), we also require a licensed wedding planner to help make sure everything runs smoothly and you can enjoy your special day.

I love the grand avenue of oaks much like Boone Hall. And the history of this park area is unmatchable. There are views of the river, a pond, incredible oak trees with spanish moss. A lot of amazing wedding photo opportunities.Legare Waring House's reply:

One of the most stunning outdoor venues in the Charleston area. Charlestowne Landing is a true gem in this area, and Legare Waring is a very special part of that. The house and grounds are very well kept, and the staff there is so easy to work with, very ready to communicate with you. The house is lovely and a wonderful place to get ready. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and this was due in large part to having our wedding here. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone!
