Based in North Beach, Maryland, Herrington on the Bay is an eco-lifestyle event design and catering venue offering an exotic escape for weddings and special events. For more than 30 years, Herrington on the Bay has been hosting celebrations of love overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Celebrated for its waterfront accommodations, phenomenal sunsets, and beautifully manicured gardens, this destination will leave you weak in the knees and completely in love.
Facilities and Capacity
Herrington on the Bay offers two private waterfront wedding venue options as well as a brand-new rustic barn option. The first is the Herrington Yacht Club, with gardens, ballrooms, and a harborside patio. The maximum capacity for the yacht club is 170 guests. The other waterfront option is the Paradise Ballroom. This private coastal setting offers a pier, colorful gardens, and a tent structure to welcome up to 350 guests for a couple’s wedding. The tent features a white porcelain tile floor, a chandelier, and lighted ceiling drapes as a classy option for the reception. Throughout these venue spaces, couples will find waterfront ceremony locations such as pergolas and gazebos, as well as two-story indoor ballrooms with hardwood floors. The third option is a rustic barn located at the farm where Herrington on the Bay produces its produce for weddings. This spectacular tobacco barn can fit up to 150 guests and features authentic farm tables and wooden cross-back chairs. Overnight guests can travel just steps from the reception to lavish overnight accommodations at The Inn at Herrington Harbour. A wing of suites overlooks the wedding lawn at this resort, perfect for newlyweds on their wedding night. The Inn features a private beach with complimentary paddle boarding and kayaking. Choose from two pavilion spaces to host your rehearsal and send off brunch for a complete wedding weekend.
Cuisine
The venue's culinary team is passionate about cooking and aim to craft bespoke menus for each happy couple. From good ol’ Maryland fare to diverse cultural and fusion foods, their chefs delight our guests with fresh farm-to-table custom cuisine. You can also request gluten-free and vegan specialties.

Herrington on the Bay is a wedding dream come true! I researched tons of venues in the area, but once I found Herrington on the Bay, it was love at first sight. I worked with Marcie and Brittany and they brought my vision to life. They helped make the planning process seamless. I knew I could rely on them for support in making our fairy tale wedding happen. Marcie was extraordinary in every way. I called her my wedding angel! Anything I needed and she was there, responding to my every email and keeping me up to date on every detail. The celebration went as perfect as it could and they were flexible with anything coming their way. The food, the staff and everyone worked hard to make our day as happy as can be. The guests continuously gave my husband and I compliments on everything and they enjoyed taking photos against the beautiful and scenic views along the water. My husband and I are so grateful to Herrington, Marcie, Brittany and their entire team for everything. If I had to do it all again, I would choose them again and again. Thank you thank you!

Herrington gives you a taste of the tropics without the need to travel far. Their staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect for any event.
